Our studio conveniently located in the heart of Coolidge Corner in Brookline is equipped with two Reformer/ Tower Combo Units;  a Pedi-Pole; a Cadillac plus various small props.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system of exercise developed originally as a method of rehabilitation and movement during the First World War by Joseph Pilates.  Jospeh Pilates fine-tuned his system of movement that focuses on core stability and breath throughout his life.  During his life, his NYC based studio became the favorite of dancers and had a cult following. 

 

Since his death in 1967, Pilates has continued to evolve and gain in popularity.  Today, it’s practitioners include professional athletes, weekend warriors, plus those looking to work on core stability and to improve their overall fitness. 

 

Your instructor has multiple exercises to choose from so no two sessions will be exactly alike.

Larry and Kathleen 

About Us

With a combined 30 plus years of experience in the fitness industry, co-studio owners and founders Larry Weisman and Kathleen Dickey have the skills and experience to guide and assist you in reaching your

health, wellness and fitness goals.

Kathleen Dickey is a STOTT trained Pilates professional completing her comprehensive training in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, She has complemented this training with further work such as Pilates for MS (and other Neurodegenerative Disorders); Pilates for Dementia, Disorders of the Feet as well as the YMCA's Pink Program Reiki Level 2 certified and is working on her Holistic Care Network's CBD Health Coach Program.  Kathleen is, also, Spin, TRX and Barre Certified.  Outside of the studio, she likes to spend time with her friends, family and her Cairn Terrier/ Schnauzer mix rescue pup, Rosie,  and perfect her vegan gluten free bakes.

Lawrence Weisman is a STOTT certified Pilates professional completing his comprehensive training in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, He has complemented his training with further work such as Egoscue method and from myofacial movement technique.  To complement his Pilates training, Larry is a certified ACSM personal trainer, TRX and Step Certified. Outside of the studio, he likes to spend time with his Airedale puppy, Seymour, his partner, Cort,  and perfect his baking and piano playing.

We aim to be flexible to serve our clients needs, schedules and comfort level offering both in-person/ in-studio and virtual (Zoom or FaceTime) training options.

Do you want Flexibility than consider a Flex Account!?! 

Do you want to be able to move between doing Private and Semi-Private sessions  without having multiple packages? Consider a Flex Account?!?  To set one up all you need it to put $1000 or more on “account”. These funds then become like an ATM for Pilates.

This package is for clients new to our studio only and is a great way to get started with your Pilates practice.

*Semi-Private Sessions*

 If you are interested in semi-private training, we recommend bringing a friend.  This a great way to learn and grow your Pilates practice, plus spend time with a friend.

Our Services

Studio Policies

Studio Policies

So we can maintain social-distancing, please wait outside our studio for your instructor to invite you in just prior to your scheduled time . If you would like to use the rest room before your session, please quietly open the studio door and grab key just inside the door. 

​

In order to maintain a clean environment, we request (but do not require) that you wear grippy socks during your session. In order to maintain a mindful environment, we ask that you silence all electronic devices (mobile phones and smart watches). 

​​

Street shoes are not allowed within the studio and please only bring the bare minimum (ie no shopping bags) with you into the studio. 

​​

If you need to cancel, please give at least 24-hour notice for private sessions and 48 hours for semi-private sessions when canceling or changing appointments to avoid forfeiting the session.

​

Mask or Facial Coverings are optional at this time. This is in accordance with current state and local ordinances.

Location

We are conveniently location in the heart of Coolidge Corner and accessible by the Green Line (C-Line: Coolidge Corner stop) or via the 66 Bus.  If you do drive to us, there is ample street metered parking. Please note that our studio is located on the second floor and only accessible by stairs as we do not have an elevator. If you have mobility issues we are happy to discuss virtual or in-home training options.
